The Alabama Crimson Tide are fresh off their amazing 2008 recruiting class, but nothing is stopping Coach Saban from getting a head start on 2009. Offers have been handed out to prospects all across the nation, and the talent level that this coaching staff is going after is amazing. Sam Montgomery has been one of the hottest names on Alabama’s defensive prospect list for 2009 thus far. The 6′5 defensive end from Greenwood, South Carolina has been racking up offers from all over the country. Montgomery’s 4.4 speed is what most college coaches are drooling over. Clint Moseley is one of the top quarterback prospects in the southeast for the 2009 recruiting season. The quarterback from Leroy High School in Leroy, Alabama led his team to the 2A Alabama State Championship this past season. Clint was named the MVP of the game, and also was a 2A All-State choice. Why would 92,000+ fans show up in Tuscaloosa for a meaningless practice game on a nice spring day? Remember the laughter from the national media last year? On Wednesday, the 2008 recruiting season came to an end. With 32 teenagers signing to play football at Alabama, the Crimson Tide claimed the top recruiting class in the nation. Both Julio Jones and Jerrell Harris committed and signed with Alabama yesterday, and now they look to make some noise at Alabama in the near future.
